Fashion and Health
All women want to look beautiful and fashionable at all occasions. There are new fashion trends that are reinvented every now and then; hot fashion items that are introduced to the public through fashion shows, magazines and other media types. However, the effect of the clothes and accessories that people wear is often neglected and ignored. The thing is, there are some clothes, shoes and accessories that can pose harmful effects on the human body.

One of the example of these “harmful fashion” is high-heeled shoes most specially stilettos. Women like wearing high heels for several reasons. The topmost reason is that it adds height and boosts confidence of women. However, aside from the difficulty to walk with high heels for long hours, it also poses higher risks for accidents such as tripping and ankle strain.

Another example is tight jeans; there are several claims that very tight jeans can restrict the nerves in the thighs and legs. Other than the usual discomfort from wearing them, tight jeans can also cause urinary tract infection and yeast infection.

Continuous wearing of heavy earrings can also affect the hearing and damage the ear lobes. Therefore, although big and heavy earrings are more attractive and give an extra edge over the other types of earrings, they are generally not recommended by doctors.
Being hip and trendy is not a bad thing, in fact looking good and feeling confident at all times is a good attitude but we should never take your health for granted. Consider the short-term and long-term effects of the clothes and accessories that you wear.
